Trying to start blogging again, back from my uncalled break…
2022 was the last time, I tried to post something here, a lot has happened in my life ever since in almost all the aspects, hence, I find myself pondering how to distill 4 long years into a single post.
That said, I would try to be as incisive as I can to summarize :
1- Professionally I switched roles once again & have been continuing in my current job since 2024 (or at least at the point of writing this). While this update is nugatory to my blogging, let that stand as the numero uno cause for making me an interloper to my own blog.
2- Travelled more (seven Countries to be precise) & a host of destinations in India. My itinerant desires for jetting off to resplendent, unfamiliar landscapes or switching on to vacation mode remain unsatiated. The quiet exaltation that my anam cara and I are left with after every journey is ineffable to the core.
3- Trying to be a better human without lapsing into sanctimonious platitudes – my resolve is to simply show up for loved ones, help sans expectations, and truly grasp the divide between need and greed.
4- Started gardening more, in fact it’s the unbridled limerence with gardening our spaces my entire family carries.
5- I have been reading far more intentionally – around 20 books a year – inching closer to my omnilegent ambitions with every genre I explore. My bookshelf and desk have become a nidus where ideas, reading notes, and some writing drafts coalesce.
6- Welcomed a new buddy – a Royal Enfield 650 Twin; the guttural rumble of the BEAR 650 has been eating up asphalt alongside the biking group that I co-founded in 2025 curating our ride experiences & etiquette with a borderline obsessive pedantry. (more on that later – Promise!)
7- Strangely enough, I have returned to playing games yet again; having last played back in my college days (2009-13), sparked by a rekindled relationship with my brother’s old PS4.
My new obsession : RPGs & FPS more than Racing which used to be my old all-time favs.
8- I took to Redditing more frequently so much so that I ended up moderating 3 top subreddits in my city (with around 10K+ Redditors), navigating the daily quagmire of mod queues where anonymous users tattled over minor community rule breaks.
9- The diecast aficionado in me has resurfaced; Hotwheels & miniGTs now serve as priceless totems slowly overtaking desk & shelf space(much to my wife’s chagrin).
So, that is the round-up on all things in & around me, as I plan to ameliorate my frequency to blog.
Having spent my workdays at the forefront of the AI wave – from adoption to implementation as a consultant – my blog is the one sacred enclave I refuse to surrender to the misbegotten, cookie-cutter prose churned out by the Generative AI models.
